Ticket Types

There are nine types of tickets:

• Peak Day Single Day Admission
• Peak Day Special Admission
• Standard Day Single Day Admission
• Standard Day Special Admission
• 3 Day Admission
• 7 Day Admission
• Evening Admission
• Group Admission
• Student Group Admission

Peak Day are the first 3 days of the Expo, which is also China's Labor's Day holiday (May 1 to 3), China's National Day holiday (October 1 to 7) and the last 7 days of the Expo (October 25 to 31). There are 17 peak days in total. Peak Day ticket holders can enter the Expo area once on the designated dates or on any standard day.

Standard Day are non-peak days for the duration of the Expo (from May 1 to Oct 31, 2010, excluding May 1 to 3, October 1 to 7 and October 25 to 31). There are 167 standard days in total. Standard Day Single Day Admission, Standard Day Special Admission, 3-Day Admission, 7-Day Admission, Evening Admission and Student Group Admission tickets are valid only on standard days. Standard day ticket holders can enter the Expo area once on any day except for peak days.

Three-Day Admission and Seven-Day Admission ticket holders can enter the Expo area once on any three standard days or any seven standard days respectively.

Evening Admission ticket holders can only enter after 5pm on standard days. Group Admission tickets are for groups of 15 people or more, and are valid for a single entry on the specified day. They may only be purchased by authorized travel agents.

Student Group Admission tickets are for groups of 30 people or more and are valid for one entry on any single standard day. They may only be purchased by authorized travel agents and educational institutes.

Special Admission is available to the following people:

• For the disabled
• For people born in or before 1950
• For students with valid IDs.
• For children above 1.2m
• For Chinese military personnel on active duty

In order to purchase Special Admission tickets, valid proof of eligibility is required upon purchase and entry.
